In the past couple seasons-or years, really-have passed new challenges for the Literacy Council of Grand Island, especially with the ebb and flow of the ongoing pandemic.
In the world of nonprofits, collaboration makes all the difference when it comes to, well, making a difference! Throughout the fall, the Literacy Council of Grand Island has loved teaming up with local agencies to promote the power of free literacy education!
All this and more has been said about the Literacy Council of Grand Island in recent years. We are more than a school for literacy; we are a home for learning. This spring, the LCofGI launched a new brand look to emphasize the homey and familial environment our organization provides to students.
This past spring, the Literacy Council of Grand Island (LCofGI) was thrilled to unveil a new brand and marketing look for the organization to better represent our homey, welcoming atmosphere we offer to all students who walk through our doors. The Literacy Council truly is like another home for our students; we meet students where they are and we are always ready and willing to welcome new members to our LCofGI family.
ANNUAL REPORTS
From becoming a citizen of the U.S., to graduating from Central Community College, to earning a driver's license, our students at the Literacy Council of Grand Island have been hitting milestones left and right this year, despite the ongoing pandemic.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we developed several new safety protocols. As always, the well-being of our staff, students, and volunteers is of the utmost priority at the Literacy Council. From requiring masks upon entry to our building, to providing our visitors with sanitation supplies, to offering distanced and remote tutoring and more, we promote a safe learning space for all!
